Stylish Wheelchair - So Chic!

My daughters wheelchair was looking very worn out and abused when I decided enough is enough. I made a cover for it with some leftover fleece I had. I really loved the way it came out. Does anyone love fleece as much as I do? It seems many crafters are into wool felt but I am so in-love with fleece. It is so soft and comes in a rainbow of colors. As you can tell, I make a lot of blankets, hats and now baby bibs with fleece. Hope you all like it.

World Thinking Day

Here is a picture of my daughters (far left and second from right)and my two nieces. They all had a great time visiting the many countries that were on display as well as passing out japanese candy and miniature japanese flags. I was so exhausted that evening. I don't know how many origami fish I made for the many girls that visited our booth.

I forgot to mention a week ago that I received my books from the Home Book Club. I have had so much fun reading and re-reading the books. I have tagged the pages that have the projects I want to make. I think I will go now and get started.

Here is another baby bib, hat and fleece blanket that I made for my husbands co-workers wife. I just love the feel of flannel and fleece. I hope they love it as much as I loved making it for them. On another note, we had such a busy weekend. Our girl scout troop participated in "World Thinking Day" and our troop was in charge of making a display on the country of Japan. My oldest daughter, Alexis, put together the display board while my youngest, Isabelle made tiny Japan flags. I will post picture of the girls with their display board as soon as I download them from the camera. Most of my Brownie Troop attended the event and worked real hard giving information about Japan to other eager little girls ready to learn (actually, most of the girls just wanted the Japanese candy and origami).

Self-portrait

My youngest daughter, Isabelle, drew a picture of herself and I thought it was so cute I had to embroider it. Now I'm not sure what I will do with it. I'm thinking maybe I can turn it into a cute bag or book cover. We'll have to see. By the way, blogging is not as easy as I thought. I can never find enough time to post and I'm still learning how to correct my mistakes (which I have plenty of). How do you go back and edit a draft?? I will have to play around with blogger a little more.

Happy Birthday Honey!

Saturday, February 2nd was my honey's birthday and we celebrated by getting away from the children and going on a much needed date. The girls were excited to spend some time with their grandma and two of their little cousins. We were very excited to eat a nice hot meal quietly. The weekend goes by so fast, and I never seem to find any time to craft. I haven't mentioned before, but having three daughters (12, 9 and 7)keep us very busy. Our middle daughter, Cassandra, has cerebral palsy developmental delay and boy does she keep us on our toes. She does not walk, but she can drag herself and manages to stand up wherever she can and throw things (and yes, she has even attempts to grab pans from the stove). We have to constantly watch her. Well, I did want to post a picture of a baby bib, blanket and hat that I made for a friend who just had a baby. I will be making another set for my husbands co-workers wife who is having a baby boy.
